Shop. Dine. And, start your engines! It's the month of May in central Indiana and our brick street is the epicenter of activity and excitement.

Zionsville based, Team 6R Racing will be rolling out several of their sprint cars from their garage on Saturday, May 12th and making pit stops along Main Street, Boone Village and other locations throughout Zionsville. Find all seven cars and enter to win tickets to the Hoosier Hundred on Friday, May 26th at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. USAC drivers and Zionsville brothers, Kody Swanson and Tanner Swanson will be making an appearance too.

Horse drawn carriage rides return to the village on Saturday, May 12th from noon - 4pm. Bring Mom downtown for lunch, do a little shopping, take a carriage ride, visit the SullivanMunce Museum, treat Mom to a spa day, and check out the Garden Center at Akard's in Boone Village. Our restaurants are preparing for Mother's Day too with special menu items, brunch specials and decadent desserts.

The Brick Street Market, Saturday, May 19 will feature over 150 arts, crafts, apparel and antique vendors. Homes of Distinction Tour at Lost Run Farm, June 7 -17; a Porsche Car Show on Sat. June 16 (Father's Day week-end); Miss Indiana Scholarship Pageant, June 20 -23; Brick Street Art Walk, Friday, June 22, the 2012 Gardens of Zionsville Tour and the Zionsville Paint Out on Sat. June 23 are MUST attend events! Plein Air Painting Workshop

John Michael Carter will teach a three day landscape painting workshop. He will focus on the basic principles of composition, how to establish values and atmospheric perspective. Artists will meet at the SullivanMunce Cultural Center on the first day.  All three days will consist of outdoor painting with instruction. Registration Fee:  $450 members/$475 non-members.  Fee includes three days of instruction; lunch each day; admission to the Art in the Garden Patron Party on Thursday; and entry in the Zionsville Paint Out June 23, 2012 and the Zionsville Paint Out Exhibition held from July 7 – August 11, 2012.
