Artists will gather in Zionsville to sketch, draw and paint historic homes, lush gardens and local landmarks in oil, watercolor and pastels en plein air. A French expression which means “in the open air,” en plein air painting is generally used to describe the act of painting in an outdoor environment, rather than in a studio. GhostWalk is a 45-minute guided walking tour of the historic village of Zionsville, where guests stop at up to 7 different vignettes to experience re-enacted ghost stories from Zionsville’s past. This solo exhibition by Zionsville resident Chris Bucher consists of a series of large-scale photographs that tracks a group of inner city youths through six months of boxing training, leading up to the Ringside World Championships in Kansas CIty, Missouri. While many have seen these images in Ft. Collins, London or the Atheneaum in Indy, this will be the only public display of these photographic images in Zionsville!

Mary Lyon Taylor, an Indianapolis native, began taking pictures in 1906, at the age of 35. She is known for her soft-focus portraits of women and children, but her subjects also included domestic workers and landscapes. This exhibit includes approximately 30 of the nearly 400 original glass plate negatives acquired and preserved by the Indiana Historical Society in the 1980s after they were discovered in the attic of Taylor's former Indianapolis residence.
Portraits and items from everyday life in the early 20th century from the SullivanMunce collection will also be on display.

Recording artist, performer, producer, inventor, Emmy-winning composer and music education advocate Mark Wood has spent the past four decades electrifying the orchestra industry – literally! Wood rose to fame as string master and founding member of the internationally acclaimed Trans Siberian Orchestra. Wood writes and records original music for film and television, has released sic solo albums, and tours with this band, The Mark Wood Experience.
On Wednesday, February 13, as part of this incredible musician's music education program, Electrify Your Strings!, Mark Wood will perform with the orchestra of Zionsville Community Schools. Tickets are $12.50 for general admission or $28 for premium seating that includes a 6pm meet and greet with Mark Wood. Tickets are now available!

Earth Explorer Toys is starting a new Tummy Time class for moms with infants 2 months to 18 months. This FREE class will begin on Monday, February 25 at 11:000am. This 45 minute class is for moms and babies! We start with a few songs, rhymes and books; have a little exercise time, then babies can play with toys on the quilt/padded floor while their grown-ups enjoy a cup of coffee and have some time to chat with friends. This class will meet the second and fourth Monday of the month.

Bring in Spring with the Zionsville Lions Club by attending its 22nd Annual EGGnormous Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 30th! Over 13,000 Eggs will be hidden in Lions Park stuffed with EGGciting goodies donated by the Lions Club and other local businesses.
The Park will be popping with color when festivities begin at 9:00 a.m. with a Pancake & Sausage Breakfast for a donation to support Lions Park. We will also have a SpEGGcial appearance by the Easter Bunny, Roarie the Lion and other friends from the community. Activities include Kid's BMV sponsored by St. Vincent Hospital, free face painting by Small Blessings, free photographs with the Easter Bunny by Carpenter Reality, special eggs by Control Tech and Mite-E-Duct, free balloons & more! The Zionsville Merchant's Association will be sponsoring its Annual Rubber Duck Hunt too! Little yellow duckies will be dropped throughout the Park to be redeemed for EGGcellent Prizes at the new Zionsville Welcome Center.
At 10:30 a.m, the EGGnormous EGG Hunt will begin, but please pay attention to the Lions because start times will be staggered for various age groups. After the EGGhausting hunt, please remember to EGGcyle your eggs in the specially-marked bins across the Park!
